The SMP Clinic is located in Burnaby, BC and is owned and operated by world renowned artist Billy DeCola.
The studio is licensed & insured and is by appointment only so you can expect to receive our undivided attention during your consultation and SMP procedures.
Owner and Artist Billy DeCola is a global brand ambassador for Bishop SMP and he's a proud member of the Bishop SMP Pro Team - a team comprised of a select few scalp micropigmentation artists from around the world who are considered to be the best in the industry.
Billy was among the first SMP specialists to deliver scalp micropigmentation treatments in Japan, the United States and Canada. He's treated countless clients suffering from hair loss, thinning, scarring, alopecia and botched SMP jobs.
Billy's path to offering scalp micropigmentation services and training started with over a decade spent in the tattoo industry where he honed his precision technique and developed a reputation for his creative design. Before moving to Vancouver in 2011, Billy was a cast member on TLC’s hit reality show “NY Ink."
With his extensive tattooing experience, Billy found a natural fit with providing scalp micropigmentation services for both men and women.

Over the years Billy has developed his own SMP technique which has grown in popularity in recent years. His attention to detail and precise hair follicle placement methodology achieves some of the most realistic micropigmentation results in the world.
​Billy’s SMP Training Course has had an overwhelmingly positive response and he strives to continue to provide a sound, fundamental education for beginners, PMU professionals and professional tattooers looking to add SMP to their services.

As in-person training has become increasingly difficult Billy has recently produced an online SMP training program for experienced tattooers, permanent makeup artists and existing SMP practitioners.

Billy DeCola's specialized layering technique yields realistic and subtle results.

Machines:
The machines we use, The Bishop Wand, are the safest and most effective SMP machines available. The 3.5 mm stroke delivers precisely accurate pigment implantation which perfectly replicates a natural hair follicle.

Needles:
We only use single use, disposable needles for each and every procedure. Our SMP specific needles are the smallest on the market and mimic hair follicles.
​
Pigments:
The *pigments we use are Vegan and absolutely non-toxic & non-hazardous. You can rest assured that our SMP specific, charcoal based pigments will not turn blue or red over time.

Staff:
Our highly trained staff have all received **Blood Born Pathogens Training.
